On January 9, 2025, 161 combat clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian invaders were recorded.

Strikes on Ukraine
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike using three missiles and 55 air strikes, dropping 76 drones on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas. In addition, it carried out more than six thousand attacks, including 200 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,408 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Vovchanski Khutory, Sadovod, Hryhorivka, Hatne, Pishchane, Kurylivka, Borivska Andriivka, Zelenyi Hai, Verkhnokamianske, Maiske, Druzhba, Shcherbynivka, Serhiivka, Andriivka, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Temyrivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Kherson.
Strikes on the occupants
Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit six areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, two air defense facilities, a command post, and one UAV control point of the Russian invaders.
The situation in the East
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two enemy attacks near Starytsia and Vovchansk.
Eight occupants' attacks took place in the Kupyansk sector yesterday. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Zakhidne, Kucherivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Petropavlivka, and Zahryzove.
In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked 17 times. He tried to advance near Zelenyi Hai, Borivska Andriivka, Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Makiivka, Hrekivka, and Ivanivka.
In the Siversky sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions once near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, seven firefights were registered near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 12 attacks near Toretsk, Bila Hora, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 42 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Sukhyi Yar, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Zvirove, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novovasylivka, Novoandriivka and Novoyelizavetivka.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 29 attacks on the positions of our troops near Sribne, Andriivka, Petropavlivka, Kurakhove, and Dachne.
In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy carried out 11 offensives against the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Yantarne, Vremivka, Kostiantynopil, and Rozlyv.
Situation in the South
In the Prydniprovsky sector, Russian invaders stormed the positions of our units three times without success.
In the Huliaypillia and Orikhiv sectors, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations yesterday.
Situation in the North
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy launched 19 air strikes, using 31 guided bombs, and carried out 469 artillery attacks (including 19 with MLRS) on the positions of our troops and settlements.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.
Losses of Russian troops
In total, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1830 people over the last day. Ukrainian troops also neutralized 10 tanks, 32 armored combat vehicles, 24 artillery systems, three air defense systems, 71 operational and tactical UAVs, three cruise missiles, 86 vehicles, and three units of special equipment of the occupiers.
