Everything necessary for €3 billion aid to Ukraine is ready, but negotiations on financing are still ongoing, - Pistorius

The German government has prepared everything necessary for additional assistance to Ukraine worth 3 billion euros. However, the German government is currently still negotiating funding.
This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on January 14, Ukrinform reports, Censor.NET reports.
"Regarding the 3 billion (euro) aid package, we have prepared everything we need, but we are still in the process of negotiations within the government, because there is still the issue of funds that are not yet available, because there is still no budget. This is just a fiscal problem in the government. We are working on it and I remain optimistic that we will find a solution," the German minister said.
Pistorius noted that some of Germany's democratic parties have demonstrated a desire to take steps in this direction.
In addition, the head of the German Defense Ministry assured that regardless of which government will lead Germany after the February 23 elections, German support for Ukraine will remain "reliable, unwavering, committed and energetic."
"There is no doubt about that," Pistorius added.
As a reminder, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, January 14.
Earlier, it was reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opposes the allocation of additional aid to Kyiv worth 3 billion euros, which is advocated by Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
However, Pistorius denied this information.
