Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi assured that highly qualified personnel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be transferred to the infantry.

He said this in an interview with journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko, Censor.NET reports with reference to Hromadske.

As he emphasized, his order is currently in effect, which prohibits the transfer of highly qualified personnel who have been trained and specialize in aircraft maintenance.

On the one hand, these are definitely specialists who have spent money, have experience, and who can't be replaced. On the other hand, we have a need at the front, we need to raise an adequate number of personnel in our mechanized brigades. Unfortunately, the possibilities of mobilization do not cover this need," emphasized Syrskyi.

Therefore, the Armed Forces are "within reasonable limits" reducing the logistics component and part of the support in the army, as well as those involved in maintenance.

"That's why the staffs know these tasks, they have made calculations. And, of course, our task is to prevent such situations, and if any such problem arises, to react immediately. To prevent someone from this category (who is not allowed to be transferred - Ed.) from going to the front," the commander-in-chief emphasized.

What preceded it?

Earlier it was reported that specialists of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being transferred to the infantry. Mobile fire groups are also being reduced.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that there were no plans to transfer the highly scarce specialists of the Air Force's engineering and aviation service who maintain aircraft to infantry units.

Air Force Commander Kryvonozhko confirmed that the transfer was not planned.

Zelenskyy instructed Commander Kryvonozhko not to reduce the number of specialists needed by the Air Force to perform combat missions.
