On the night of 24 January, Russian invaders attacked Kyiv region with attack drones, and air defence systems were operating in the region. As a result of the fall of the wreckage of the downed target, a fire broke out in a 10-storey residential building in several apartments in one of the settlements of the region. In another settlement, a fire broke out in a private two-storey house on an area of 120 m2.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the temporary acting head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.
"Unfortunately, two people were killed as a result of an attack by enemy UAVs in Kyiv region. The deceased was found on fire in a private house as a result of the fall of debris from the downed target. The fire is currently extinguished.
The second victim was a 36-year-old man in another settlement, where a 10-storey residential building was damaged," the statement said.
Two more people sought medical attention after the fire. A 26-year-old man suffered superficial burns of the upper respiratory tract. A 38-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.
"The lists of the victims of the attack are being updated, and they are being provided with all the necessary medical care. The fire has been extinguished. At the moment, a point of resilience for residents is operating near the damaged high-rise building in the school," said Kalashnyk.
According to social media, the debris of the Shahed hit a multi-storey building in Hlevakha.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, three people were killed and another injured in a Russian attack in Kyiv region
"As of 7:30 a.m., one apartment building was damaged in one of the districts, with 11 apartments damaged. In addition, in another district of the region, eight private houses, three cars, a shop, an outbuilding and a fence were damaged.
Unfortunately, three people died. A 26-year-old man also suffered burns. The victim was taken to hospital where he is being provided with all necessary assistance," the statement said.
In Fastiv district
the debris damaged a 10-storey building. Two people died there.
In Brovary, a man born in 1966 died in a private house. His wife is being searched for.
Update as of 7:50 p.m.
The body of a dead woman was found during the rubble removal of a house that was hit by a UAV attack overnight, Brovary mayor Ihor Sapozhko said.
"The deceased - a man born in 1966 and a woman born in 1965 - were a married couple," he said in a statement.
