There is no sign that Putin wants peace right now - Kallas

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that she sees no signs that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is seeking peace.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, Kallas said this at a joint press conference after a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara.
"There are no signs that Putin wants peace right now. We are providing 134 billion euros of support and training 75,000 Ukrainian soldiers and applying tough sanctions against Russia," Kallas said.
She also said that the issue of supporting Ukraine will be discussed during the European Commission meeting on February 27.
"We all want peace, but we also want peace to be sustainable and permanent. I don't think there is anyone who wants peace more than Ukrainians, because they are constantly being bombed," the EU representative emphasized.
Earlier, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said he was ready to hold talks to end the war against Ukraine. However, according to him, if the talks begin now, they could be recognized as illegitimate, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has banned dialogue with Russia.
