If we stop helping Ukraine tomorrow, country will not exist day after tomorrow, - Pistorius

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has warned against cutting off aid to Ukraine. He said that if there is no assistance, there will be no sovereign country of Ukraine.
The German minister said this during a speech in Pain, Lower Saxony, RAP reports, Censor.NET informs.
"If we stop supporting Ukraine tomorrow, then the day after tomorrow will be the end of Ukraine, the end of a sovereign, free state in the center of Europe," Pistorius said.
He noted that Ukraine should be in a position of strength to start negotiations with Russia to end the war at some point.
The German defense minister also responded to the statements of those calling for an end to support because "this is not Germany's war."
"It is true that this is not our war, but it can become ours," the German minister said.
Pistorius once again admitted the possibility that Russia will try to attack NATO countries.
"Putin is preparing. We don't know if and when he will attack, but he is preparing. He is creating the conditions to seriously threaten us. Putin has talked about a serious, unrelenting struggle for a new world order. Perhaps he will never do this, but as a defense minister, I would not want to take any risks," the German defense minister added.
Earlier, Pistorius admitted the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO countries in 2029-2030.
