Ukraine needs more weapons and air defense systems to prevent front line from shifting - Kallas

Ukraine needs more military aid to stop the advance of the Russian army. In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need more ammunition and more air defense equipment.
This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, Ukrinform reports, Censor.NET informs.
She noted that the EU is currently the largest donor to Ukraine.
"We have provided a total of more than 134 billion euros, but it is obvious that Ukraine needs more. The front line is moving to the west, but it should move to the east. Ukraine needs more ammunition, more air defense, more training for soldiers," Kallas said.
The top diplomat welcomed today's decision by European ministers to extend sanctions against Russia, as they will continue to deprive Putin of the revenues he uses to continue his war.
"More military assistance for Ukraine and strong sanctions against Russia are two sides of the same coin. Providing more military support for Ukraine is also very important for our own security," Kallas added.
As a reminder, on January 27, EU foreign ministers decided to extend sanctions against Russia in response to its aggression against Ukraine at a Council meeting in Brussels.
