More than 2 thousand servicemen have already been automatically granted status of combatants - Ministry of Veterans

More than 2,000 Ukrainian defenders have already received the status of combatants without any additional procedures.
This was reported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, Censor.NET informs.
"In less than 2 months since the launch of the new service of the Ministry of Veterans together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, we have achieved what seemed impossible before: 2,000+ servicemen have already received the status of combatants without any extra steps, 6,000+ extracts from the USRWV were issued through the ASC - in a matter of minutes," the statement said.
As noted, previously, the military had to collect a package of documents on their own, wait for approval and go through bureaucratic procedures. Now, information about participation in hostilities is entered by authorised persons of military units, after which the system automatically processes the data and assigns the status of combatant without the involvement of the servicemen themselves.
In addition, combatant status is automatically granted to servicemen and women who have been captured or gone missing.
"After being granted combatant status, Defenders can easily obtain an extract from the USRWV at any ASC - in a few minutes through the 'Single Window' service - confirming the status and entitlement to benefits. And soon, the generation of e-certificates in Diia will become automatic," the Ministry of Veterans said.
As it is known, in September 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on granting the status of combatants in automatic mode during martial law.
