US Treasury Secretary Bessent hands over first draft of partnership agreement to Ukraine - Zelenskyy

Ukraine has received the first draft of a partnership agreement from the United States.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent after a one-on-one meeting, "Ukrinform" and "Interfax-Ukraine"reports, Censor.NET informs.
On Wednesday, 12 February, the newly appointed US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent arrived in Ukraine and met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
‘I know that our team has received the first draft of the agreement on partnership between our countries from the United States. I really want our team to study this document, and we will do everything to study and sign it as soon as possible. Because the United States is our main partner. We will do everything to study all the details of the document and be in time for the Munich conference, because we do not want to waste time,’ Zelenskyy said.
According to the Head of State, the conversation with Bessent was constructive and included, among other things, the issue of security guarantees, and they also talked about mineral resources.
In turn, Bessent said that this document is in line with the vision of US President Donald Trump regarding the rapid end of the war in Ukraine.
‘This document is in line with Donald Trump's vision of a quick end to the war,’ 'Radio Liberty' quoted US Treasury Secretary Bessent as saying.
He also noted that the US and Ukraine should ‘share security issues’.
Earlier it was reported that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent would arrive in Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
