Zelenskyy: "Sanctions were not imposed on Poroshenko. Do not personalize."

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the imposition of sanctions against the fifth president of Ukraine and leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko. According to him, law enforcement will tell everything.

He said this during a briefing at the Office of the President of Ukraine on February 19, 2025, Censor.NET reports citing Suspilne.

He noted that at the NSDC meeting there were reports on the withdrawal of funds from Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation.

"Let the law enforcement agencies speak. The Financial Monitoring Service has reported all of this in detail. The investigation is underway. Sanctions were not imposed on Petro Poroshenko. Do not personalize a person who is siphoning funds from our country. There is a list of individuals involved in this," Zelenskyy said.

NSDC sanctions

On 12 February 2025, according to media reports, the National Security and Defence Council decided to impose sanctions on Petro Poroshenko.

Subsequently, "ES" leader Poroshenko commented on the imposition of sanctions against him.
