European defense ministers to hold emergency meeting on Ukraine – Bloomberg

On Monday, February 24, France and Estonia will host a meeting of European defense ministers to discuss strengthening support for Ukraine. The meeting will be attended by more than 10 countries, as well as representatives of the European Union and NATO.
Bloomberg writes about this with reference to informed sources, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that the meeting will be held in the format of a video conference. It will be attended by about a dozen ministers from countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Poland, as well as representatives of the European Union and NATO.
"European leaders are rushing to develop new defense plans in view of the prospect of the United States ending its huge military and financial support for Ukraine. Washington has also begun peace talks - a prospect that will affect the continent's security architecture for years to come - without European or Kyiv involvement," the article says.
The meeting of the EU defense ministers will coincide with the visit of several European leaders to Kyiv, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. Also on Monday, February 24, EU foreign ministers will meet in Brussels.
In addition, next week, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit the United States to meet with American leader Donald Trump.
