Trump doesn’t want to insult Putin because it hinders negotiation process -Rubio

US President Donald Trump avoids harsh rhetoric against Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, as he believes it could hinder peace talks.
According to Censor.NET, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this in an interview with CNN.
He emphasized that Trump realizes that any public attacks on Putin only complicate the negotiation process.
"If you start aggressively making demands, for example, that Russia compensate Ukraine for losses, it will block the possibility of dialogue. The president has been making deals all his life and knows that such issues are resolved at the negotiating table, not through loud statements," Rubio explained.
He also expressed doubt that the Ukrainian leader really wants peace.
"Zelenskyy says he wants a deal, but maybe he doesn't. This has caused disappointment among those who have been in contact with him before the meeting," the secretary of state said.
Rubio admitted that the meeting between Trump and Zelensky may have been a waste of time. At the same time, he emphasized that Trump does not take a specific position on the future of the Ukrainian president.
"He only said, 'Let Zelenskyy come back when he's ready for peace,'" Rubio quoted the American leader as saying.
Regarding trust in Putin, the Secretary of State emphasized: "Yesterday, Trump said: 'Trust, but verify'."
He also emphasized that Trump will not allow himself to be sucked into a sham deal and wants to see if peace is even possible."
Rubio also criticized the approach of some European leaders, who, according to him, are considering extending the war for another year, hoping that Russia will be so weakened that it will be forced to beg for peace.
"This is another year of death, destruction, and chaos. And, frankly, not a very realistic plan," he summarized.
