Peace is possible only when we have security guarantees, - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that peace in Ukraine is possible only when Ukraine receives real security guarantees.
The head of state said this on the air of the American TV channel Fox News, Censor.NET reports, citing Zelenskyy's post on the social network X.
"I cannot change Ukraine's position on Russia. The Russians are killing us. Russia is the enemy, and this is the reality we face. Ukraine wants peace, but it must be fair and lasting. To do this, we need to be strong at the negotiating table. Peace is possible only when we know that we have security guarantees, when our army is strong and our partners are with us," the Head of State emphasized.
"It will be difficult without the support of the United States. But we cannot lose our will, our freedom, or our people. We saw how the Russians came to our homes and killed many people. No one wants another wave of occupation. If we cannot be accepted into NATO, we need some kind of clear structure," he adds.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that Europe is ready for unforeseen situations and will help finance our large army.
"We also need the U.S. to play a role in determining security guarantees - what kind, to what extent and when. When these guarantees are in place, we will be able to talk to Russia, Europe and the United States about diplomacy. The war itself has been going on for too long, and we don't have enough weapons to completely displace it," he said.
