Healey goes to the US to talk about peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine

British Defense Secretary John Healey will visit the United States on March 5-6 to discuss, among other things, ensuring sustainable peace in Ukraine and strengthening ties between NATO member states.
This was reported by the press service of the British government, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that during the two-day visit, Healey will meet with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth.
This visit is also timed to coincide with the completion of the 50th joint exercise of the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia Red Flag in Nevada.
The British government said that during their bilateral meeting on March 6, Gillies and Hughesett will discuss a plan for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, which is being developed by the United States, Britain, France, and European allies.
It is expected that the discussions will also focus on deepening the British-American defense relationship.
Earlier, the Daily Mail reported that Macron and Keir Starmer are ready to travel to Washington, D.C., with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week to present a plan to resolve the war in Ukraine to Mr. Trump.
British Prime Minister Starmer said that the United Kingdom, France and other countries will work with Ukraine on a plan to end the war. France and Britain intend to discuss this plan with the United States. Subsequently, it became known that Macron and Starmer proposed to establish a one-month ceasefire in Ukraine "in the air, at sea, and in energy."
British Armed Forces Minister Luke Pollard said that "no agreement" had been reached between France and Britain on the ceasefire proposal in Ukraine.
