Arsen Zhumadilov, Director General of the Defence Ministry's procurement agency "State Logistics Operator", is resigning.

This was reported by the agency's press service in Telegram, Censor.NET informs.

"As of today, Arsen Zhumadilov is leaving the post of SLO Director General," the statement said.

The agency noted that until a new director is elected, the temporary acting executive director will be Andrii Sozanskyi. This decision was supported by the supervisory board.

The SLO added that Andrii Sozanskyi has been part of the team since the creation of SLO. He has extensive experience in procurement and logistics, a deep understanding of the system and processes, and shares our values.

"On behalf of the entire State Logistics Operator team, we would like to thank Arsen Zhumadilov for his effective management, trust in the team and the opportunity to learn. Under his leadership, SLO has not just launched, but has become an institution that has implemented qualitative changes in logistics," the agency thanked the director.

The press service of the Defence Procurement Agency reported: "Today, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The defence procurement system requires clear rules, quick decisions and efficient supply. The main priority is not just to sign contracts, but to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary weapons in the right amount in a timely manner.

The Defence Procurement Agency is tasked with making the defence procurement system efficient, predictable and sustainable."

What preceded it?

Earlier, the Supervisory Board of the Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence signed an additional agreement to the contract with the current director of the Defence Procurement Agency for a period of 1 year.

However, later, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated that the Defence Procurement Agency had failed in its work over the past six months and announced the dismissal of his deputy Dmytro Klimenkov and the change of the Defence Procurement Agency's management.

Later, Arsen Zhumadilov, the head of the State Logistics Operator, confirmed that he would also take up a second position - head of the Defence Procurement Agency.

At the same time, on Friday, 24 January, Maryna Bezrukova said that she remained the current head of the Defence Procurement Agency, despite the Ministry of Defence's refusal to extend her contract.

Subsequently, the record of the director of the Defence Procurement Agency was changed once again in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Instead of Arsen Zhumadilov, Maryna Bezrukova was again listed as the director.

The Ministry of Defence has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Justice regarding the return of Maryna Bezrukova to the post of head of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The Unified State Register has once again changed the record of the Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
