Ministry of Defence and IRIS-T manufacturer sign memorandum that provides for threefold increase in missiles and air defence systems supply
The Ministry of Defence has signed a memorandum of understanding with Diehl Defence, the manufacturer of the IRIS-T system, which is an important part of Ukraine's air defence shield.
According to Censor.NET, this was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defence Rustem Umierov.
"Protecting Ukrainian skies and cities is our priority. The signed agreement paves the way for large industrial projects that will strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian air defence. I am grateful to Diehl Defence for their trust and willingness to cooperate. It is important that the world's leading defence companies are taking a step towards Ukraine. The free world is on our side, and together we are opening up new opportunities to strengthen our defence. We continue to develop the Ukrainian defence industry and integrate it into the European ecosystem," the minister said.
According to him, the Memorandum provides for a threefold increase in the supply of missiles and air defence systems.
