EU is preparing to extend sanctions against Russia. Decision to be made by March 15, 2025 – media
The Council of the European Union plans to extend sanctions against individuals and legal entities involved in undermining the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine until March 15, 2025.
This was announced by an EU official spokesperson in response to a request from European Pravda, Censor.NET reports.
"The EU Council will have to unanimously approve the extension (of sanctions) until March 15. The EU Council is currently completing a regular review of the regime to ensure timely decision-making," the spokesman said.
The extension of sanctions requires unanimous approval from all 27 EU member states.
The final stage of the review is currently underway to ensure that a decision is made on time.
