Rada supports draft law on criminal liability of TCR and MMC employees for violations during mobilisation

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted draft law No. 12442 in the first reading, which provides for criminal liability for violations of the legislation on defence, mobilisation preparation and mobilisation committed by heads of territorial recruitment centres (TCR) and members of military medical commissions (MMC).
This was announced by MP from the "Voice" faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"There are 273 votes in favour of the draft law, including mine," Zheleznyak said.
The bill provides for:
- Criminal liability for violation of the procedure for conducting a medical examination (military medical examination) to determine fitness for military service (new Article 337-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
- Liability of military officials for violation of the procedure for conscription of citizens for military service (new Article 426-2 of the Criminal Code).
- Expanding the list of subjects of the corruption criminal offence under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code (‘Illicit enrichment’). In particular, this will apply to chairmen, deputies, members and secretaries of freelance permanent military medical commissions or medical flight commissions.
