Tariff wars between US and EU will not last long, - Lithuanian Finance Minister Šadžius

Trump’s tariff wars. Lithuania says how long they will last

Lithuanian Finance Minister Rimantas Šadžius believes that the tariff wars between the United States and the European Union will not have a long-term impact on the country's economy and predicts their imminent end.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to LRT.

According to him, tariff wars are "bad for all warring parties."

"This gives hope that these tariff wars will not last forever. We saw an example yesterday, when the tariff war between the US and Canada lasted 3-4 hours," the Lithuanian Finance Minister said.

Šadžius believes that the US may reconsider its position when the US economy "feels the results of the tariff wars".

Earlier, the European Union announced countermeasures in response to the new US tariffs on steel and aluminum imports that came into effect on March 12.
