White House confirms that Witkoff will travel to Russia this week

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt has confirmed that US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff will visit Moscow this week.

This is reported by AFP and CNN journalist Barack Revid in a post on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.

"White House Press Secretary Leavitt confirmed that Ambassador Witkoff will visit Moscow this week. She emphasized that the United States urges Russia to agree to the ceasefire proposal," the journalist said.

Earlier, the media reported that Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, plans to visit Moscow to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
