In Kharkiv, a TCR driver was involved in an 'unintentional collision' with a man riding a bicycle due to 'his maneuver in the middle of a narrow street.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional TCR and SS, according to Censor.NET.
A video is circulating online, with comments stating that a vehicle belonging to TCR and SS military personnel hit a cyclist. The accident occurred the previous day while a mobile alert group was moving through the city of Kharkiv.
According to preliminary information, the cyclist was riding in the middle of a narrow roadway and maneuvered toward the vehicle used by the military," the statement said.
The military enlistment office noted that as a result, the driver of the vehicle on a difficult section of the road (a turn complicated by a parked car) "committed an unintentional hit and run on a cyclist."
"The citizen's vehicle was hit by a car. After the incident, the servicemen stopped the car to provide the necessary assistance, but the cyclist left the scene. As a result of the traffic rules violation, the cyclist's vehicle was damaged by the participants of the traffic accident," the TCR added.
The management of the Kharkiv regional TCR and SS has ordered an internal investigation into this incident.
They did not deny that the cyclist had been hit, but emphasized that it was an "unintentional accident" that occurred in difficult road conditions.
