Never talked to Putin about cutting off aid to Ukraine - Trump

US President Trump

US President Donald Trump has assured that he has never spoken to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about helping Ukraine.

Trump said this in an interview with The Ingraham Angle on Fox News on 18 March, Censor.NET reports citing UP.

As noted, the journalist drew Trump's attention to Kremlin media reports that Putin demanded an "immediate cessation of aid to Ukraine" as a condition for reaching a peace agreement. However, Trump denied these allegations, noting that this issue was not discussed in their conversation.

I think we had a great call. It lasted almost two hours. We talked about a lot of things — toward getting it to peace, and we talked about other things also. But we never talked about aid," he said.

The US president also stressed the US interest in Russian natural resources.

"They have very valuable things for us, including very big forms of rare earth. They have a big chunk of real estate. And on that, they have things that we could use, frankly, and that other people could use. I think that Russia wants to get along with the United States," Trump assured.

Earlier it was reported that Trump and Putin had agreed that the movement towards peace would begin with a ceasefire in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

And late on Tuesday night, 18 March, Russian invaders hit a healthcare facility in the city of Sumy with a "shahed".
