Since beginning of invasion, Ukraine has returned 4306 people from Russian captivity – Zelenskyy

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has returned 4306 people from Russian captivity.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Censor.NET reports.
"For more than three years, almost the entire duration of this war, our Coordination Headquarters has been operating - all the services that return prisoners. More than 4000 people have already been returned: 4306. And we will return everyone," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that when talking with the US and other allies about the end of the war, Ukraine raises the issue of the release of Ukrainians from Russian captivity.
"Now, when we are talking with the American side and our other partners about how to end the war, we are talking about the release of prisoners as one of the first steps. We believe that this should definitely happen," the head of state said.
The President thanked everyone who keeps the issue of prisoners on the information agenda, as well as the teamwork of the President's Office, the DIU, the SSU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ombudsman and all others who are involved and thanks to whom Ukrainians are returning.
As a reminder, on March 19, Ukraine and Russia conducted a 175-for-175 POW swap. Another 22 Ukrainian servicemen are returning home through efforts outside exchange procedures.
