Russia may try to conclude comprehensive agreement with US by May 9 - Estonian Ministry of Defense

Russia is likely to try to conclude a comprehensive agreement with the United States before May 9, as it likes to tie events to important dates for itself, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.
This is reported by The Guardian, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, against this background, the West should speed up the delivery of aid to Ukraine "as quickly as possible."
When asked why he expects this, the minister said: "I read the signs... Putin has always been (fond of important dates - Ed.)."
He recalled that on February 23, Russia celebrated Defender of the Fatherland Day, and on February 24, it launched a full-scale attack on Ukraine.
"Therefore, I believe that on May 9, which is the Day of Europe for us, is the day of the end of World War II for Russia, they will probably strive for this to get some kind of agreement, some kind of truce or something like that... Whether this will happen, I don't know, it depends on the Ukrainians and, of course, together with the United States, which is currently at the negotiating table," Pevkur added.
