Ukraine invites EU leaders to Kyiv on May 9 as an alternative to Putin’s parade in Moscow - Politico

The Ukrainian government has invited European leaders to visit Kyiv on May 9, the day when Moscow traditionally holds a military parade.
This is reported by Politico, Censor.NET informs.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha extended an invitation to his European Union counterparts during a meeting in Luxembourg on April 8. He called on European leaders to come to Kyiv in solidarity with Ukraine.
"We call on them to demonstrate our unity and determination in the face of the biggest aggression in Europe since World War II," Sybiha said.
In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to use this opportunity to meet with coalition leaders who are ready to define security guarantees for Ukraine after a possible ceasefire agreement is reached.
The location of this potential meeting has not yet been specified. At the same time, European diplomats said on condition of anonymity that visits by heads of state, including future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, could take place in early May.
