Russian troops launched 8 missiles and 87 "Shaheds" over Ukraine: 33 drones destroyed, 36 lost in location - Air Force
On the night of April 19, 2025, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with ground- and air-launched missiles and attack UAVs.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Air Force Command.
According to preliminary data, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 95 enemy air attack vehicles - 8 missiles of various types and 87 attack UAVs (other types of imitation drones).
What did the enemy use to strike Ukraine?
According to the Air Force, the following were recorded:
- 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch area - Crimea);
- 2 Onyx anti-ship missiles (launch area - Crimea);
- 3 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles;
- 87 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of imitator drones (launch areas -Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Hvardiyskoye - Crimea).
The enemy's air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
What did our air defense manage to shoot down?
As of 09.00 a.m., 33 Shahed-type attack UAVs (and other types of drones) were confirmed downed in the east, north, south and the country.
36 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).
Consequences of the attack
The enemy attack affected Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
