A civilian resident of the Beryslav district in the Kherson region was killed after attempting to remove a Russian drone carrying explosives from his yard. The device detonated in his hands.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, according to Censor.NET.

"In a field near the village of Sablukivka, a 47-year-old man triggered an explosive device. He sustained severe injuries and, unfortunately, died on the way to the hospital," the official said.

Update

Prokudin later clarified that the incident in Sablukivka was caused by the crash of an explosive-laden Russian drone into the yard of a private home. The 47-year-old homeowner attempted to carry it away from the property, but it detonated in his hands.

He urged residents not to approach or touch suspicious objects and to immediately report such findings to emergency services or the police.
