Sybiha addressed Szijjarto: Instead of arguing on social media, let’s meet and have constructive discussion

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha invited Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to meet and hold a "constructive discussion."
Sybiha wrote about this on social network X, reports Censor.NET.
Sybiha addressed Szijjártó and emphasized that he knows that Ukraine's accession to the EU does not pose a threat to Hungary, but rather is in line with Hungary's national and security interests.
He also quoted Hungary's National Security Strategy: "Hungary is interested in a strong and united Europe that remains on the path of successful integration and offers attractive prospects for integration."
Sybiha noted that Ukraine's accession to the EU does not pose a threat to Hungarian farmers, who have not blocked the Ukrainian-Hungarian border for a single day and are actively buying Ukrainian corn this year.
"Our accession to the EU also does not threaten the Hungarian labor market, as prior to the Russian invasion, your government actively invited Ukrainians to work in Hungary to compensate for the shortage of skilled labor," he added.
In addition, according to the Ukrainian minister, the Hungarian community in Zakarpattia region supports Ukraine's accession to the EU, as its leaders have repeatedly stated publicly. The protection of their interests is enshrined in the Hungarian Constitution.
"Instead of arguing on Twitter, let's meet and have a constructive discussion. I am confident that we can reach a sincere agreement on pragmatic solutions – for the sake of the common interests of peace and security of our peoples in a united Europe," Sybiha concluded.
