There are now many Ukrainian companies that know how to manufacture interceptor drones, and a production system has already been rolled out, but funding is insufficient
Censor.NET, citing Ukrainska Pravda, reports that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a briefing.
"Regarding full funding for, for example, interceptors. We have already rolled out a robust production system; there are many Ukrainian companies that understand how to do this, but funding is insufficient. In other words, at present we do not have enough resources to take the necessary steps," the president said.
On arms exports, Zelensky said Ukraine plans to carry out controlled exports of surplus weapons that will not create shortages for the Armed Forces.
"On the issue of controlled exports of various weapons that will not create a shortage for the Ukrainian army, this is exactly how we approach the matter. The priority is the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and where we can produce more and the army no longer needs certain items, we can export the surplus," he said.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa earlier said that Ukraine already has interceptor drones capable of downing enemy jet-powered Shaheds.
