Russian strikes on energy infrastructure leave parts of Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions without power: power outage schedules in effect

Power outages persist in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions after Russian strikes – Ukrenergo

As of the morning of 18 November, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy oblasts remain without power following Russian strikes on energy facilities.

Ukrenergo reported this, Censor.NET informs.

The company noted that emergency repair and restoration work has already begun where safety conditions allow.

Weather-related outages

There are also outages caused by severe weather: due to strong wind gusts, 124 settlements across six oblasts — Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Dnipropetrovsk — remain fully or partially without power. Repair crews are working to restore the networks, and full reconnection is expected by the end of the day.

Hourly outage schedules

Following previous large-scale attacks, most regions today continue to apply consumption restrictions. Hourly outage schedules of between 1.5 and 4 groups will remain in effect until the end of the day. Power limitation schedules for industry and businesses are also in place.

Electricity consumption remains high: as of 09:30 it was at the same level as the previous day. According to Ukrenergo, the morning consumption peak on 17 November was 7.2% higher than on 14 November, due to lower temperatures and a smaller volume of restrictions.

The company urges consumers to use electricity sparingly throughout the day and recommends shifting energy-intensive processes to after 22:00 whenever possible.
