US has approved a $105 million package for Ukraine to maintain its Patriot air defence systems

The US State Department has approved the sale of a maintenance and modernisation package for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine worth $105 million.
According to Censor.NET, the package includes the modernisation of M901 launchers to the M903 configuration, spare parts, auxiliary equipment, training and other services to support air defence.
"The Government of Ukraine has requested to purchase goods and services related to the maintenance of the PATRIOT air defence system," the State Department website says.
Military support from other countries
It has also been reported that Ukraine will receive a new military aid package from Spain, including missiles for Iris-T air defence systems. The total value of the package is €300 million, and Ukraine will receive 40 missiles for air defence.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is on a working visit to Spain. These missiles are currently in short supply.
"I am grateful for the new defence aid package. This includes missiles for air defence. This is a major shortage for us during the winter. And here is a specific package — 40 missiles for IRIS-T air defence systems. The total value of the package is €300 million," Zelenskyy said.
