The trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia have not been canceled, but they have been postponed for the time being due to events in the Middle East.
This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
"The next trilateral consultations between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States have already been postponed several times. And as of now, they have been postponed again. In other words, they haven't been abandoned or canceled; they've simply been postponed," the spokesperson said.
According to Tykhyi, the United States is currently fully focused on the Middle East.
"Although the teams communicate with each other every day. There is ongoing communication," he said.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted that Russia is not showing any willingness to engage in the diplomatic process.
"We see a bet on war, on an attempt to achieve their goals by military means, even though they will not succeed by military means," Tykhyi concluded.
