State Customs Service confirms suspect in killing of TCR serviceman is customs officer

The State Customs Service has said that the suspect in the killing of a Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support (TCR and SS) serviceman in Lviv is a customs officer.

"Based on information received from law enforcement agencies, the State Customs Service of Ukraine confirms that the individual detained on suspicion of killing a TCR serviceman in the city of Lviv is an employee of Lviv Customs," the statement reads.
The State Customs Service assured that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities to ensure an objective clarification of all circumstances surrounding the crime.
"We in no way justify or support unlawful actions by employees of the service. The final assessment of the events will be provided by the investigation and the court.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased!" the statement concluded.
