Murder of TCR soldier in Lviv: Oleh Avdeev — former athlete and participant in Olympic Games

Oleh Avdeev, a TCR military who was killed in Lviv on April 2, had previously represented Ukraine at two Winter Olympics.
According to Censor.NET, this information was reported by Tribuna.
"Oleh competed in the XVIII Winter Olympic Games in Nagano in 1998 and the XIX Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City in 2002. At both Olympics, he finished 11th in the two-man luge event, paired with Danylo Panchenko," the statement reads.
What is known?
Previously, Avdeev served as the head of a border control inspection team and, for a time, was the deputy head of the "Lviv" mobile border post.
From November 2025, Oleh served as an officer in the mobilization department of the Halych-Frankivsk ORTCR and SS In January, he became an officer in the administrative offenses review and processing unit of the same TCR. He did not participate in combat operations.
