Ukraine, Canada to produce drones for Ukraine’s Armed Forces

Ukraine and Canada have agreed to launch joint production of Ukrainian reconnaissance drones in Canada. The project involves the creation of a joint venture between the Ukrainian company Airlogix and Canada’s Sentinel Research and Development.

Production of Ukrainian drones in Canada

The project provides for the launch of production of Ukrainian reconnaissance drones in Canada. The drones produced will be supplied to Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

  • The relevant agreement was signed by representatives of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and Canada’s Department of National Defence.
  • Under the agreement, a new Airlogix-Sentinel joint venture is being created between the Ukrainian defense tech company Airlogix and Canadian unmanned systems manufacturer Sentinel Research and Development.
  • The project, which will be implemented with the support of the governments of Ukraine and Canada, will accelerate the supply of equipment for reconnaissance and operational planning to Ukrainian warriors.

Joint production with Ukraine also creates opportunities for Canada. This includes expanding Canadian production capacity in critical technologies and gaining access to effective solutions for modern warfare.
