Businesses that fund bringing in of foreign volunteers should be required to set same number of places for reserving Ukrainian men, - Butusov

Businesses may fund the deployment of foreign volunteers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Businesses that fund the bringing in of foreign volunteers should be given the opportunity to reserve a similar number of Ukrainian men at their facilities.

This was stated by Yurii Butusov, commander of the UAV company of the 23rd Assault Regiment within the National Guard’s 2nd Corps "Khartiia," according to Censor.NET.

"I am shocked that the government wants to mobilize taxpayers first and foremost—to drag them away from their jobs. Instead of using the money taxpayers pay to keep them in their jobs and bring in foreigners," he said.

Butusov noted that businesses in Ukraine are currently facing difficult conditions.

"If this company funds the bringing in of a certain number of foreign fighters once a year, in addition to its taxes, then it should receive a reservation for a similar number of workers each year. In other words, this company can pay taxes and can also fund foreign fighters. Why are they taking away taxpayers? Let them work more, and next year we’ll bring in more from the same company. Because we have nowhere to bring new Ukrainians from. But we can bring in foreigners.

That’s why I believe that a business that funds the bringing in of foreigners should receive a similar number of slots to reserve for Ukrainian men who work there, in that company. It seems to me that this is a reasonable scheme. And it can be implemented every year. It’s beneficial for everyone. Because in the fifth year of the war, if we continue at this pace simply taking people from where they are officially employed and receiving salaries, we could indeed end up with no manufacturing enterprises at all," the commander explained.
