Operation ’Vivaldi’: Lasar’s Group special forces unit and heavy bombers destroyed Russian positions ahead of assault. VIDEO
A video has been published online showing the intensive combat operations carried out by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance personnel and strike drone pilots whilst preparing to clear enemy defensive lines.
According to Censor.NET, the National Guard of Ukraine’s special drone unit, Lasar’s Group, has released footage of the clearing of the occupiers’ positions ahead of the Ukrainian infantry’s assault operations.
As part of the military operation codenamed ‘Vivaldi’, enemy fortifications, dugouts and firing positions were subjected to continuous and intense fire.
For artillery preparation and aerial clearance, the troops deployed heavy bombers and strike FPV drones from the attached "Troika" units.
In total, the published video shows around three dozen precision munition drops and kamikaze drone strikes on Russian troop concentrations and defensive structures, which significantly weakened the enemy’s resistance ahead of the Ukrainian assault troops’ clearance of the area.
"During Operation ‘Vivaldi’, enemy positions were under constant fire control from heavy bombers of units attached to the Troika. Striking the enemy from the air before the infantry advanced — in a video by the National Guard of Ukraine’s Lasar’s Group special UAV unit," the description accompanying the released footage states.
