Church servant of Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), blogger, employee of defence plant and clinic laboratory assistant: four more pro-Russian online agitators have been exposed, – SSU. PHOTOS
The Security Service and the National Police have detained a further four pro-Kremlin online agitators in various regions of Ukraine. The perpetrators were justifying the Russian Federation’s armed aggression and fanning the flames of inter-ethnic hostility within our country.

Kyiv
- In Kyiv, a church minister at one of the churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) who called for the seizure of the Ukrainian capital.
As the investigation revealed, a church sexton was spreading enemy propaganda via his own Telegram channel. In addition, the suspect actively posted comments in chat rooms on popular social media platforms in support of Russian armed groups and the Kremlin regime.
- In addition, a blogger was detained in the city who had called on Facebook for the physical elimination of members of one of the national minorities and the arson of their places of worship.
On this online platform, the suspect also made threats against members of the Defence Forces and their families.
Zaporizhzhia
- In Zaporizhzhia, the SSU’s counter-intelligence unit exposed an employee of a local defence factory who, via Telegram channels, had been inciting Russian supporters to carry out a ‘show of force’ missile strike on Kyiv and Lviv.
- Another person implicated is a laboratory assistant at a local private clinic. She denied Russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia and spread disinformation about the combat operations of the Defence Forces. To this end, she used several fake accounts on Telegram, as well as on the banned social media platforms ‘Odnoklassniki’ and ‘VKontakte’.
What are the consequences?
It is noted that linguistic analyses initiated by the SSU confirmed the suspects’ involvement in subversive information activities in favour of the Russian Federation.
During searches of their premises, mobile phones and computer equipment containing evidence of illegal activities were seized.
The suspects have been notified of the charges against them in accordance with the offences committed under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Parts 1 and 3 of Article 436-2 (justifying, legitimising or denying the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants);
- Part 2 of Article 129 (threat of murder committed on grounds of racial, national or religious intolerance);
- Part 1 of Article 161 (intentional acts aimed at inciting national enmity and hatred, and humiliating national honour and dignity).
The suspects face up to 8 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.
