Klitschko visits troops of "Thiika" in Kharkiv sector – brings 5,800 UAVs from Kyiv community. VIDEO+PHOTOS
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko brought a large batch of drones from the capital’s community to troops of the Third Army Corps in the Kharkiv sector.
He announced this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
Klitschko hands over 5,800 drones to troops
"I visited our defenders in the Kharkiv sector. I brought assistance from the Kyiv community. I handed over 5,800 UAVs of various types to the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 'CENTRE' Group of Forces," Vitali Klitschko wrote.
The mayor noted that earlier in 2026, Kyiv had delivered more than 52,000 UAVs and other necessary equipment to troops from various brigades.
Klitschko also recalled that the capital had recently allocated additional funding from the city budget to support the military.
Kyiv allocates another UAH 1.6 billion to support the military
"At last week’s Kyiv City Council session, councillors approved the allocation of another UAH 1.6 billion from the capital’s budget to support the Security and Defence Forces. The capital’s community continues to help our defenders!" he stressed.
As previously reported, on October 1, Kyiv City Council backed Vitali Klitschko’s initiative to increase assistance to the military and voted to amend the capital’s budget accordingly. Klitschko also instructed officials to find a way to increase funding for the "Defender of Kyiv" programme. In addition, Kyiv City Council allocated a further UAH 375 million in payments to mobilised Kyiv residents.
