Counterattack with net: Ukrainian special forces shoot down Russian FPV drones hunting them during logistics missions. VIDEO

Drone Industry

A video has been published online showing Ukrainian ground-based robotic systems, equipped with net launchers for active defence against Russian FPV drones, in action. The footage captures three counter-attacks by the robotic systems against enemy drones.

According to Censor.NET, Russian FPV drones attempted to attack Ukrainian robotic platforms whilst they were carrying out logistical tasks in the Donbas.

The footage shows enemy drones approaching the robotic systems to launch an attack. In response, the net launchers mounted on the platforms fire nets at the FPV drones.

The net intercepts the drone at close range, preventing it from reaching the ground platform. In this way, the UGV effectively launches a counter-attack of its own against the device hunting it.

The published video captures three such instances of countering Russian FPV drones.

The use of net launchers provides additional protection for ground-based robotic systems used to deliver cargo and carry out other logistical tasks on the front line.
