Three-year-old Zlata, who was carried out from under rubble in Pryluky by rescuer, is in hospital: her grandmother and uncle were killed

Little Zlata, who was rescued by emergency services on the morning of 7 October from under the rubble of a high-rise building in Pryluky following a Russian missile attack, is currently at the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital.
This was reported to "Suspilne" by Vladislav Stoyanov, head of the Pryluky District Police Department, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
As well as Zlata, her mother Kateryna is also in hospital. The previous evening, Kateryna and her daughter had arrived to visit her sister, Yulia Malysh, Stoyanov said.
"She is our colleague — police officer Yulia Malysh, who sustained injuries and is currently in hospital. Yulia’s husband, Oleh Malysh, was killed. Until recently, he had been fighting on the front line as part of the Chernihiv Regional Police Rifle Battalion. Lyudmila, the mother of Yulia and Kateryna, was also killed in this attack. She too had come to visit the family that evening," he added.
Russian strike on Pryluky on 7 October
- As a reminder, on 7 October, the Russian Federation launched a missile strike on Pryluky in the Chernihiv region. Twenty people are known to have been killed and 55 injured. Children are among the dead.
- In addition, other residential buildings, a children’s and youth creative centre, a business premises and cars in the town have been damaged.
- According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the Russians struck Pryluky with six cruise missiles, preliminarily identified as Kh-101s.
- A policewoman was injured in the same building, whilst her husband – a veteran – and her mother were killed. A family of a ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’ train driver also perished under the rubble, and three generations of one family were killed in the strike: 58-year-old Viktoria Bondarenko, her daughter Kateryna and her grandson Oleksandr.
- In Pryluky, 7, 8 and 9 October were declared days of mourning for the victims.
