European Commission on Russian attack on Kramatorsk: Perpetrators and accomplices of war crime must be held accountable

EU condemns Kramatorsk attack, demands war crimes accountability

The European Commission condemned the cynical Russian attack on civilians in Kramatorsk on October 8 and stressed that all perpetrators and accomplices of war crimes must be held accountable.

European Commission spokesperson Christian Wigand said this, Censor.NET reports.

EU response to Russia's terror

Brussels stressed that Russia's war crimes against Ukraine's civilian population must be punished.

"Russia has intensified its attacks against the civilian population. We have seen the latest reports of Russian attacks on buses in Kramatorsk, with the number of casualties reportedly continuing to rise," Wigand said.

The European Commission spokesperson stressed that yesterday's Russian strikes on the city of Pryluky in Chernihiv region had already claimed 28 lives, including five children, three of whom were just one year old.

"Deliberate attacks against the civilian population and non-military objects are war crimes. Let me remind you of that. And, of course, all perpetrators and accomplices of these serious violations of international humanitarian law must be held accountable," Wigand added.
