A Kyiv resident has been detained for filming and sharing footage of Ukrainian air defence positions on social media.
This was reported by the SBU press office, according to Censor.NET.
Who is involved?
The woman in question turned out to be a lecturer at one of the capital’s universities.
"She carried out unauthorised filming of the Defence Forces using her mobile phone camera whilst travelling on a minibus. The woman subsequently posted the video on several of her accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube," the statement reads.
An expert assessment confirmed that harm had been caused to Ukraine’s national security as a result of the public dissemination of classified information about the Defence Forces.
The woman has now been notified that she is suspected of the unauthorised dissemination of information regarding the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which could enable their identification on the ground, committed whilst martial law was in force.
She faces up to 8 years’ imprisonment for this offence.
