Air defense troops of the Third Army Corps destroyed 4,070 Russian aerial targets during September. These included a jet-powered "Banderol", which they shot down for the first time.
As Censor.NET reports, the Third Army Corps shared the results of its combat operations for September.
Over the month, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1,558 attack drones, 104 reconnaissance drones, 2,354 small UAVs and 47 "Sokol-I" interceptor drones.
In addition, air defense troops shot down four heavy bomber drones and three guided aerial bombs.
A separate achievement was the first destruction of a Russian jet-powered "Banderol" — a hybrid of a small cruise missile and a loitering munition, which the enemy uses to strike Ukrainian cities.
Service members from the 1030th "Aquila" Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 53rd, 60th and 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigades, the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade and other subordinate units of the Third Army Corps contributed to destroying the enemy aerial targets.
