Details
"Let’s not speculate. Mr Zelenskyy has already made it clear that he is not interested in the elections, because he has set conditions that are unacceptable from the outset.
There will be no ceasefire designed to bring him back to his senses and arm him," said the minister of the occupying country.
What led up to this?
- US President Donald Trump stated that he believes it is time for Ukraine to choose a new leader who will be capable of reaching agreements to end the war.
- Commenting on Trump’s statement, Peskov claimed that Volodymyr Zelenskyy allegedly lacks the political will to end the war.
- For his part, Zelenskyy has stated that he is prepared to discuss the issue of elections if the US reaches an agreement with Russia on a complete ceasefire.
