FSB detained resident of occupied Donetsk: he is accused of "preparing terrorist attack". VIDEO

Russia’s FSB has detained a local resident in temporarily occupied Donetsk, alleging that he was preparing a terrorist attack. The occupiers also claim he may have links to Ukrainian intelligence services.

Censor.NET reports this, citing Novyny Donbasu, which quotes statements by the so-called "DPR Defense Headquarters."

According to the occupiers, the man allegedly made contact with representatives of the Ukrainian security services and agreed to carry out their tasks.

The Russian side claims that the detainee retrieved a Ukrainian-made 9 mm Fort pistol and an improvised explosive device from a cache prepared in advance. He allegedly planned to use the device in a crowded place.

The occupiers also accuse the man of passing information about where Russian military units are stationed to Ukrainian intelligence services.

There is no independent confirmation of the FSB’s claims. The detainee’s position is unknown.
