Traffic across Pivdennyi Bridge to right bank to resume in Kyiv from 30 October

In Kyiv, from 30 October, road traffic across the Pivdennyi Bridge from the left bank to the right bank of the capital is gradually being resumed. Initially, one lane will be open to vehicles weighing up to 10 tonnes, including passenger cars.
According to Censor.NET, this was announced by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The decision to resume traffic was taken following the results of a technical inspection of the bridge and the findings of an expert assessment by the National Institute for Infrastructure Development.
"Traffic from the right bank to the left bank remains closed for the time being. Technical work is ongoing on this section. We will provide further updates on the resumption of traffic," the statement reads.
Preparations are underway to repair the damaged structures on the bridge
At the same time, specialists from relevant municipal utilities, together with scientists, are working on technical solutions to repair the damaged structures of the Pivdennyi Bridge.
In particular, this concerns the structures that support the metro’s operations.
