Oversight of MMC at TCR to be strengthened: Drapatyi signed order

Oversight of the MMC at the TCR will be stepped up: Drapatyi’s order

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi ordered stricter oversight of the work of military medical commissions attached to the TCR. They will verify the validity of medical findings, pay attention to chronic illnesses among those subject to military service, and combat corruption during mobilization

According to Censor.NET, citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was reported by Major Dmytro Lykhovii, a representative of the General Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What is known?

"Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, signed an order to significantly strengthen oversight of the work of military medical commissions at territorial recruitment and social support centers.

The order aims to improve the quality of medical examinations for conscripts, prevent the conscription of citizens who, due to their health condition, are unable to serve, and prevent any instances of corruption during mobilization efforts," he explained.

Thus, in accordance with the order, a thorough monitoring of the validity of the Military Medical Commission’s decisions is being implemented.

Particular attention will be paid to cases where a person was deemed fit for service, but the Military Medical Commission later determined that they were unfit due to illnesses unrelated to military service.

Healthcare facilities and specific specialists will be held accountable for false or negligent conclusions.

There will also be a separate emphasis on more thorough examinations of people with chronic illnesses that could flare up within the first few months of military service.

Ongoing monitoring of the decisions made by the MMC is being implemented, and based on the results, audits of the commissions’ work will be conducted.

"Special training courses will be regularly organized for the chairs and members of the MMCs attached to the TCR and SS, particularly regarding modern diagnostic standards during medical examinations.

In addition, oversight is being strengthened regarding how officials of the TCR and SS refer conscripts for medical examinations, process documents, and enter information into the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military-Age Persons, and Reservists," said Lykhovii.
