Oil refinery is on fire in Ryazan following drone attack: Wildberries centre may also have been targeted. VIDEO
In Ryazan, Russia, on the night of 4 November, a fire broke out at a local oil refinery following a drone attack. There are also reports of a suspected fire at a large Wildberries logistics centre.
This is reported by Censor.NET, citing Russian media.
According to the publication, a drone attack alert was issued in the region at around 2 am. Following this, residents began reporting numerous explosions, air defence activity and the sounds of drones.
Shortly afterwards, a video of a fire at the Ryazan oil refinery appeared online. An OSINT analyst from ASTRA confirmed that it was indeed the refinery shown in the footage.
A Wildberries logistics centre may have been hit
In addition to the oil refinery, a large Wildberries distribution centre may have been hit during the drone attack.
This refers to the ‘Ryazan: Tyushevskaya’ logistics complex, located in the ‘Ryazansky’ industrial park near the village of Tyushevo. It covers an area of approximately 173,000 square metres.
Local residents claim that the facility was attacked and caught fire.
This Wildberries facility had previously been attacked on 29 July 2026. Following that incident, the logistics centre temporarily curtailed its operations.
Why the Ryazan Oil Refinery is important
The Ryazan Oil Refinery is one of Russia’s largest oil refining enterprises and forms part of the "Rosneft" group. The refinery is located in the southern industrial hub of Ryazan, and its capacity stands at around 17–18 million tonnes of crude oil per year.
The plant produces:
- petrol;
- diesel fuel;
- aviation kerosene;
- fuel oil and bitumen.
Its products are supplied to Moscow and central regions of Russia, and are also used to meet the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
In particular, the refinery produces jet fuel for jet engines, including TS-1 kerosene, which is used by the military air force.
This is not the first attack on the facility. On 15 October 2026, a fire also broke out at the refinery following a drone strike.
