Without firing single shot: SOF captured ruscist disguised in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniform. VIDEO

Special Operations Forces operators captured a Russian serviceman wearing a Ukrainian uniform on one of the most active sectors of the front without firing a single shot. He was armed and carried three radios and a backpack containing provisions.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces reported this on November 5, Censor.NET reports.

How the position was discovered

According to the SOF, the operation was carried out by operators from the 3rd Detachment of the 4th Ranger Regiment. The special forces soldiers discovered the position of a Russian serviceman disguised in a Ukrainian uniform. According to the command, discarded rubbish gave him away: he was presumably preparing to set out on a combat mission.

He had a weapon, three radios and a backpack containing provisions and equipment.

Dialogue without a fight

An operator with the call sign Mashynist reportedly engaged the occupier in conversation, managed to completely disorient him, and persuaded him to lay down his weapon without a fight.

The occupier was surprised that they spoke to him and asked him to surrender.

"F##k, I'm tearing up, f#ck. Our guys never do that," the Russian said during questioning by the SOF.

What questioning revealed

  • During initial questioning, the prisoner said he had served in the Russian army since 2023. After signing a contract, he took part in the offensive in the Kharkiv region and later carried out missions on other sectors of the front.
  • The SOF said the operation had added another Russian serviceman to Ukraine's pool of prisoners available for exchange, while troops from the 3rd Detachment obtained valuable intelligence from him.
